It was a real privilege to work under Howard’s guidance for so many years for both Cheshire and Halton Libraries. I have vivid memories of him, in costume, playing the role of the “very” naughty dog at one of our class visits in the story area of what was then Runcorn Shopping City Library. The children and staff thought he was hilarious and I don’t know how I managed to finish the story! Howard was always so kind and supportive and a real inspiration to those who knew and had the pleasure to work with him. Sincere condolences to Jan and all the family.
