It has been a real privilege to get to know Howard, a real ‘salt of the earth’ gentleman. Together with Jan in their retirement years, they have helped Padgate library become the success it is today. A beautiful memory from last year was Howard sharing with us the wonderful news that he and Jan had become grandparents that morning. It was lovely to see him so very happy and excited to meet the newest member of the family! He will be very sadly missed. Sending love and my deepest sympathy to Jan and all the family.
